Eidetic - Spaced Repetition App Reviews

This app does what it says - it periodically tests you on little facts that that you enter yourself to help you memorize them. And that pretty much works. But its a little quirky and can be frustrating - for instance, I set up a quiz to remember the license plate number for my new car, and every time it quizzes me it says I got the answer wrong, I try again and it says Im right - this has happened so often that Ive been EXTREMELY careful to double-check that I entered the correct answer, and it still ALWAYS says I get it wrong the first time, every time. Im not sure why this happens - maybe its too picky (an extra space in the answer, or a lower case letter instead of a capital? - though as far as I can tell neither was the case. Maybe it doesnt like hyphens? ). And the watch app is basically useless, it just displays an alert asking if you can remember the fact (so no need for an actual "app" since the watch can display any alert from any phone app without a dedicated "watch app") - it should allow you to try to speak the answer, or at least view the correct answer. In this case, it would actually be better as a plain alert, because answering the question on the watch (to dismiss the alert) causes it to skip the actual test on the phone - you have to remember to *not* answer the question on the watch if you want to test you memory in the app.

This app delivers in every aspect. It does exactly as it promised, and it is perfect for learning languages. But it desperately needs some upgrades and fixes. For instance, it would be great if instead of telling you so bluntly that you fail to write the answer, it should at least let you see what was wrong with your answer so you have a better understanding of your mistakes. Also for some reason every time i open the app, my battery gets drained. I would have given a better ranking if it werent for the battery drain problem.

Dont install this. Is a empty box. You have pay for anything.

I got the Pro version to expand use scenarios but would be nice to have more specific test schedule options, as well as multiple choice mark options

I like the idea, and I use it very day and it does its job. However there are some key functions that I miss: Editing already existing data in every aspect. Deleting of old sets would be great. Have a thing I want to memorize twice but cant get rid of the trouble ! I use it for vocabulary and it would be great to have an option to import a smaller list of words instead of copy and paste. Hope this app gets some extra features in the future and Ill love it even more! Regards, Peter

...and maybe I do t know how to use it. I created a dictionary entry that I wanted to remember. When the app tells me its test time, it asks me if I remember the definition. Every time I tap the "No" button, the app crashes.

Set up a test to remember a long number. Remembered it correctly, but was still told I was wrong. For an app that does a single thing, youd think it would actually do it.

Nice UI. Efficient amount of learning categories, not overwhelming. Havent used to full extend I would like because the main reason I thought this app would be useful is to help me with the language I am learning (Vietnamese), but it does not have dictionary support. Please add more language dictionaries or include the ability to import 3rd party dictionaries!

This app is AMAZING!!! I needed to learn a poem within a week and put each line on cram so I would learn it faster! This is truly the best thing thats ever happened to me!!!

Would love some actual hints and tips to help remember but the timing of the app to help you remember is great.

A very well designed app, but the bug galore continues even after the latest update: frequent crashes, “null” prompts. I would most certainly buy the pro version, but not before the critical bugs are worked out.

Great app to memorize whatever you want. The interface is simple and easy to use. The app itself is not annoying and disturbing.

It started to doesnt work on mu 5s after the last upgrade. When i enter the programme, its quickly exits. So i cant do anything.

Id give this app five stars but it crashes every time I attempt to use it. If It was updated, Id give it five stars in a heartbeat.
